The Manley Reference Tube Condenser Studio Mic

Manley Reference Cardiod
Cardiod Condenser
Valve - NOS Mullard 12AX7

Warm rich tones and presence that a tube mic gives. I have replaced the stock tube with a premium NOS 12AX7 Mullard tube from the 60s, noted for a musical midrange. One of my favorite mics. I usually pair this one with the DW Fearn VT-1 Preamp.

The Reference Cardioid Microphone shares the same electronic attributes as the Gold Reference Series, but has a fixed cardioid-only capsule with a thicker gauge (6 micron) gold sputtered diaphragm. Reminiscent of the beloved U47, C12, and ELA-M 251 variants, consistently admired when used for vocals, guitars, and other instruments most often recorded in fairly close proximity in today's studio tracking and overdub assignments.

The Manley Reference Cardioid Microphone has that rich tonal balance and liquid character with Warmth and Clarity. Manley Reference Cardioid Microphones proximity effect offers pretty good immunity from pops and sibilance problems.
